me

Hello there, I'm Rab. My journey into the world of Data Engineering and DevOps began in September 2021, right at the start of the pandemic. With some extra time on my hands, I decided to dive into the exciting realms of data engineering and DevOps. I have nothing much to do so I decided to learn from the internet. I started watching and reading a bunch of stuff on the internet to explore more about Data Engineering especially DevOps and Backend development, Cloud Engineering .

Backend development offers a wide array of technologies and concepts to explore, and I've been thoroughly engaged in learning as much as I can. I'm driven by the joy of acquiring new knowledge and constantly improving myself.

On this website, I'll be sharing my insights through journals and showcasing my projects. I firmly believe that writing about what I learn is the most effective way to solidify knowledge, and I look forward to sharing my experiences along the way. Don't hesitate to reach out – I'm here to assist and share the knowledge I've gathered on my journey!

Current Endeavours

  • I proudly serve as a Data Engineer at xxx and contribute to the team's success while working remotely from the picturesque Benelux region in the European Union.
  • In addition to my role as a Data Engineer, I also share my technical expertise as a Web Developer for xxx
  • As an experienced mentor, I provide guidance and support through a revision-style mentorship approach, and you can find more about it in this ()

Technology Stack & Tools

Utilising this diverse array of tools has significantly enhanced my capabilities as an engineer. These programming languages, including Scala, Python, R, C++, and TypeScript, have allowed me to tackle a wide spectrum of projects, each with its unique requirements. The knowledge of SQL and JavaScript has empowered me to work efficiently with data and develop dynamic web applications. Moreover, proficiency in HTML and CSS/SCSS has enabled me to craft visually appealing and responsive user interfaces. In the realm of technology, my expertise in Vercel, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and Jenkins has streamlined deployment and infrastructure management. Leveraging cloud services such as Microsoft Azure DevOps and Amazon Web Services has opened doors to scalable and reliable solutions. My front-end skills encompass Tailwind CSS, Chakra UI, Bootstrap, and Next.js, while NoSQL, Redis, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB enrich my database management capabilities. With these tools in my arsenal, I've also mastered development workflows with version control using Git, harnessed automation through PowerShell and CLI, and created visually engaging content using the Adobe Suite. My engineering journey has truly been fortified by this comprehensive toolbox, allowing me to tackle an extensive range of projects with precision and efficiency.
